At Abacus, we believe in the power of journeys — and not just the kind measured in miles.
That’s why we’re proud to support an extraordinary challenge by a group of determined students from Appleford School, who set off on June 19th to cycle more than 1,000 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End. Every mile they pedal is a testament to perseverance, teamwork, and the power of neurodiversity.
These young riders are all neurodiverse — living with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or other learning differences. But far from holding them back, their unique perspectives have propelled them forward. After five months of rigorous training, they’ve taken on Britain’s toughest cycling route — not just to prove what’s possible, but to launch a movement.
Their journey marks the beginning of SPIN: Supporting People In Neurodiversity — a new initiative opening inclusive, empowering challenges to all ages and backgrounds.
We’re honoured that Abacus minibuses and vans are playing a small part in helping them get there. From transporting the team to providing a comfortable space to rest (we hear the reclining seats were a big hit 😎), we’re thrilled to support such an inspiring cause.
👉 Please consider supporting their challenge and spreading the word:
Let’s help them go the distance — and together, drive toward a more inclusive future. 🌍❤️
